2Manufacturing Process — Step by Step

Stage 1Raw Jute Bale → Fabric

  1. Raw jute bales received from JMDC-certified farms in West Bengal and Bangladesh
  2. Bales opened, moisture tested, and graded by QC inspector
  3. Fibers softened using emulsion (water + mineral oil) for easier processing
  4. Carding: Tangled fibers separated into parallel strands (slivers)
  5. Drawing Frame: Multiple slivers combined into uniform thickness
  6. Spinning: Slivers twisted into jute yarn on ring or roving frames
  7. Weaving: Yarn woven into jute fabric on power looms — plain weave (hessian) or twill
  8. Fabric rolled and sent for GSM quality testing

Stage 2Dyeing & Finishing (Optional)

  1. Grey jute fabric scoured (washed) to remove natural oils and impurities

  2. Heat Transfer: Full-color digital designs applied via heat press
  3. Jute Patch: Pre-printed patch stitched or glued on bag front
  4. Embossing: Logo pressed into fabric surface for premium feel
  5. Embroidery: Thread-stitched logo — premium quality, long-lasting

Stage 5Stitching & Assembly

  1. Panels stitched on industrial sewing machines (single needle lock stitch)
  2. Side seams stitched first, then bottom panel attached
  3. Gusset (box bottom) stitched for flat-base bags
  4. Handles attached with bar tack reinforcement at minimum 4 points
  5. Inner lining sewn and inserted if required
  6. Zippers, magnetic snaps, velcro, or drawstring attached
  7. Rivets added at handle attachment points for heavy-duty bags
  8. All threads trimmed; bag inspected and turned right side out

Stage 6Quality Control & Inspection

2Manufacturing Process

Stage 1Juco Yarn Blending & Weaving

  1. Jute and cotton fibers blended in the required ratio (60:40 or as specified)
  2. Blended sliver drawn through drafting frames for uniform fiber mixing
  3. Spinning: blended sliver spun into juco yarn on ring spinning frames
  4. Yarn quality tested: count, twist per inch (TPI), tensile strength
  5. Juco yarn woven into fabric on semi-automatic power looms — plain or twill weave
  6. Fabric inspection: GSM, weave uniformity, thread count per inch

Stage 2Dyeing (Two-Bath Process)

  1. Juco fabric scoured to remove sizing from both jute and cotton components
  2. Two-bath dyeing: vat or direct dye for jute component + reactive dye for cotton
  3. Alternatively: cross-dyeing for two-tone effects (cotton takes color, jute stays natural)
  4. Fixation, washing, softening — same process as cotton
  5. Stentering for width control and uniform drying

Stage 3Cutting

  1. Juco fabric cut in multiple layers per CAD patterns
  2. Straight-knife cutting machine — knife speed adjusted for juco's denser weave
  3. All panels labeled: style, color, batch, size
  4. Handle webbing cut to required length separately

Stage 4Printing on Juco

  1. Screen Printing: 1–4 colors, water-based inks cured at 160°C — best result
  2. Heat Transfer: Best for multi-color or photographic designs
  3. Embroidery: Excellent on juco — cotton component grips thread well
  4. Rubber Patch: Logo-shaped rubber patch stitched or glued on front
  5. Note: DTG printing not recommended on juco — surface is not uniform enough for inkjet

Stage 5Stitching, QC & Export

  1. Heavy-duty industrial sewing machines — 5–6 stitches per inch for juco density
  2. Handle bar tack at minimum 4 points per handle end
  3. Bottom reinforcement stitching for heavy-duty styles
  4. Gusset or flat bottom construction per design
  5. 100% visual QC + handle pull test (15 kg × 60 sec) + color fastness check
  6. AQL 2.5 pre-shipment inspection; GOTS certificates for organic juco orders

Premium juco bag with embroidery$3.50 – $5.50₹295 – ₹460500 pcs
📌 Juco bags carry a 20–30% price premium over plain jute due to cotton blending cost. This is justified by the superior look, feel, and printability for premium retail buyers.
