Why sampling matters
A sample is your insurance. It confirms fabric, size, print colour and build quality before you spend on a full run — and gives you a physical reference to approve. Skipping this step is the most common cause of bulk-order disappointment.
Two types of sample
- Digital mockup — a visual of your logo on the bag. Free, instant, great for checking layout and colour placement.
- Physical sample — the actual bag in hand. Essential for judging fabric, stitching, handles and true print colour.
Tip: Approve the digital mockup first, then order one physical sample. It's the fastest, cheapest path to a confident bulk order.
What to check on a physical sample
- Fabric — weight/thread count matches your spec
- Dimensions — measure H × W × gusset against your order
- Print — colour accuracy, sharpness, position, durability (rub test)
- Handles & seams — strength and neat stitching
- Finish — clean edges, no loose threads, correct colour
Costs & timelines
Digital mockups are usually free. Physical samples may carry a small sample/courier charge — often adjusted against your bulk order. Plan a few extra days for sampling and shipping before you finalise.
Tips
Send clear artwork (vector logo), specify exact colours (Pantone if possible), and share your full spec up front. Then read how to order jute bags from India and our pricing guide.
